GREEN FEATURES

EcoHousing allows community members to “tread lightly” on the earth by incorporating green features and reducing dependence on the automobile. 

Green features include energy-efficient buildings, a small footprint, fruit trees, organic gardens, and rain gardens (on-site water retention).   

 

Reduced Driving:  Equally important, the lifestyle and location facilitate reduced car dependence.  With many activities onsite and nearby, residents won't feel the need to leave the neighborhood as often.   

 

The site is:

• one block from the light rail station, with access to downtown Sacramento
• two blocks from Historic Downtown Folsom
• two blocks from the American River bike trail
